Description
This company is a successful consulting firm actively contributing to Germany's energy transition by developing and realizing its own wind and PV projects on secured land. They are seeking a highly responsible and experienced Project Manager to oversee the full development cycle of renewable energy projects. This is a critical role that will directly contribute to establishing renewable energies in Germany in the coming years.
What You'll Do
- Take overall responsibility for a project portfolio, encompassing the entire development cycle from land acquisition, commissioning studies, and optimal layout/turbine type analysis to permit applications and follow-up.
- Prepare and accompany permitting procedures in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG).
- Conduct regular travel to potential wind and PV park locations for site assessments and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage stakeholders throughout the project development lifecycle, including landowners, service providers, authorities, and municipalities.
- Prepare strategic decisions for the management board, including comprehensive reporting on project progress and risks.
- Monitor projects diligently regarding time schedules, budget adherence, and quality standards.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks to ensure successful project delivery.
What You'll Need
- A successfully completed degree in Geography, Engineering, Economics, or a comparable field, or equivalent professional qualifications and experience.
- Several years of professional experience in project development, with a strong preference for the wind or PV industry, specifically focusing on permitting planning.
- In-depth knowledge of the economic and legal framework for wind energy, particularly in planning law (e.g., BauGB, BImSchG, ROG, EEG, TA Lärm, BNatSchG, WindBG).
- Proven experience in interacting and negotiating with landowners, service providers, permitting authorities, and local municipalities.
- Practical experience with Geographical Information Systems (GIS) in the context of wind and PV park development.
- Proficient application skills in MS-Office are considered advantageous.
- Business-fluent German language skills, both written and spoken, are essential.
- Willingness to travel and possession of a German driver's license (Class B).
