Our client, a renowned, traditional company with a strong presence in Munich's city center, is seeking an experienced and dedicated leader for the position of Team Lead Payroll (m/f/d). This role is a direct placement opportunity, emphasizing leadership, professional development, and strategic responsibility within a successful, values-oriented organization that combines continuity, innovation, and employee focus.

What You'll Do

  • Provide professional and disciplinary leadership to the payroll team of 3 employees.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of all salaries and wages.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for social security and tax-related inquiries.
  • Optimize and digitize payroll processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with HR, tax advisors, financial accounting, and authorities.
  • Oversee payroll reporting and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Train and develop team members to foster their professional growth.

What You'll Need

  • Completed commercial apprenticeship or a degree with a focus on HR or Finance.
  • Several years of experience in payroll accounting.
  • Initial leadership experience (e.g., as deputy team lead or project lead) is advantageous.
  • Sound knowledge of payroll tax and social security law.
  • Experience with DATEV LODAS or comparable software.
  • High degree of personal responsibility, strong communication skills, and a focus on quality.
