Account Manager/Sales Manager (m/w/d)
The Story Behind the Role
How does this role directly contribute to the company's strategic growth in the European market, beyond just hitting sales targets?
From what I've seen, this role isn't just about closing deals; it's about being the face of our innovation in Europe. You're the one who understands our clients' needs firsthand, feeding that back to our development teams, and then bringing our cutting-edge drive systems and precision motors to life for them. Your insights directly shape our market approach and product roadmap, which is a big deal for our global strategy.
Given the highly technical product portfolio, what support systems are in place for an Account Manager to maintain deep product knowledge and effectively communicate complex solutions to diverse clients?
That's a fantastic question, and it's something we pride ourselves on. We know our products are sophisticated. New hires go through comprehensive technical onboarding, often spending time with our engineering teams. Beyond that, you'll have direct access to product specialists and our BUs (Business Units) for ongoing support. We also regularly host internal tech update sessions and provide resources to ensure you're always confident discussing the nuances of our solutions, allowing you to truly partner with our clients rather than just sell to them.
The description mentions balancing customer development with market analysis and strategy creation. Could you elaborate on how an Account Manager effectively allocates time between these proactive and reactive aspects of the role?
Balancing those elements is key to success here. We empower our Account Managers to be strategic, not just reactive. While customer visits and direct support are crucial, we also dedicate specific time slots for market analysis and strategic planning – often collaboratively with our BUs. With the flexibility of up to 60% home office, you have the autonomy to structure your week to ensure both immediate customer needs are met and long-term growth initiatives are pursued. It's about smart time management and leveraging internal resources to maximize your impact.
